We are a nonprofit organization that seeks to promote the art and excellence of watercolor painting. Our members include many watercolor instructors who teach at all levels, and artists who exhibit at prominent galleries, museums and in nationally acclaimed shows. Some serve as jurors; others give demonstrations and programs for art and community groups.

Nancy Walnes says, "I fell in love with watercolor many years ago because of its transparency, versatility, and the inherent flow of the medium that sometimes results in 'magic.' I lean toward landscapes because I love the outdoors, but almost all subject matter can capture my imagination when I see strong light and gorgeous color. What fun it is to view everyday surroundings with an 'artist’s eye' that challenges us to paint and represent our own, unique vision."
