Kim Stenberg – I hail from South Korea and came to the States in 1984 to study history at the University of Minnesota. I received a Ph.D. degree in 1993 and have been teaching various courses at local community colleges. By fate or accident, I discovered that I could draw and paint and began to take classes at the Art League School at the Torpedo Factory in 1995. The rest is, if not hisotry, at least a happy story: I am a happier herson, with a passion, many artist friends, and occasional awards and sales. I am thrilled to be part of Potomac Valley Watercolorists and look forward to seeing senior members and learning from them.

Barbara Sullivan – I began painting in watercolor at the urging of my mother-in-law, who is an accomplished artist living in Wilmington, NC. In the beginning, it was a fun hobby to relieve the stresses of my job as a hospital laboratory director. As time went on it became a passion, especially when I began to take classes and met many wonderful teachers and students, particularly at the Art League School in Alexandria. I love to paint all subjects, but my favorites are landscapes and florals. I have exhibitied in local shows as well as in Wilmington, NC. I am looking forward to participating in the many opportunities PVW has to offer.
